Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front side of teeth. They can correct a variety of aesthetic tooth imperfections, including:
Your first appointment will be used for planning and preparation. Here, we will discuss your smile goals, oral health, and take digital impressions. We use smile preview software to virtually map out a 3D model of your new smile. At this time, we’ll also go over the cost of treatment and your financial options. Once we have collaboratively created a personalized treatment plan, we will schedule your next visit to prepare the teeth for your veneers.
We’ll remove a thin layer of your enamel and shape your teeth for the veneers to fit properly and flush next to your other teeth. Then, we’ll take additional impressions and send them to our off-site lab. The lab will fabricate your porcelain veneers with these impressions and match your veneers to the 3D model we created on our software. While we wait for your permanent veneers, we’ll place temporary veneers so you can continue to eat and talk easily in the meantime.
We want your veneers to look, feel, and sit just right on your prepared teeth. We go through each veneer and make any necessary adjustments to it before bonding it in place. Once both you and our team are fully satisfied with the veneers, we’ll use a strong dental cement and a blue light to place your veneers. We’ll make sure that your bite is correct and that you are happy with how they look!
Veneers do not require any special care, nor do they come with any food restrictions—they can be treated just like natural teeth! Because traditional veneers are commonly made of porcelain, which is a very durable material, patients are free to enjoy hard, crunchy, and sticky foods without worry. However, we still advise patients to not chew ice or try to open packages with their veneers, as these are habits that everyone should avoid to keep their teeth and restorations in good shape. babynamesdiary.com
Porcelain veneers can be used for both cosmetic and restorative purposes. In cases where a patient has one or two front teeth that have been affected by decay or dental trauma, or they stand out cosmetically, we can design and place veneers on those teeth to protect and enhance them. Sometimes patients want all of their front teeth to appear straighter, brighter, and more uniform, in which case we can place veneers over all of the front teeth to provide the patient with a beautiful, Hollywood smile.
Veneers are more of a financial investment than other cosmetic dental services like professional teeth whitening. However, porcelain veneers are custom designed based on each patient’s unique smile goals, and they can provide the patient with a perfect smile for decades before they need to be modified or replaced. If you are interested in using traditional veneers to achieve a flawless smile, our team would love to help you find a financing option that will help make it happen for you.
