Process of Clear Aligner Therapy
First, we’ll bring you in for a consultation where we will discuss your goals and digitize your smile. If you’re deemed a candidate for clear aligners, we will take impressions and send the digital version of your smile to an off-site lab, where your custom aligners will be created. Once we’ve received your aligners, we will bring you in for a fitting and provide you with a few sets to get you through about six weeks of treatment, or until your next check-up. Each set will be worn for approximately 22 hours per day and switched out every one to two weeks. This process will continue until your teeth are perfectly aligned.
Aligner Therapy Aftercare
Once treatment is completed, you will be given clear retainers to maintain the new position of your teeth. A wear schedule will be determined on a case-by-case basis, but typically your retainers should be worn at least each night while you sleep. It’s critical that you follow these aftercare instructions carefully as to avoid any unwanted movement.
Cost of Clear Aligner Therapy
The cost of clear aligner therapy varies depending on the length of treatment and your specific needs. Before we move forward, we will provide you with a fully transparent cost breakdown and thoroughly explain all of your financial options. We accept insurance and even offer our Chesterfield Dentistry Loyalty Program to uninsured patients. Rest assured, our goal is to help you fit treatment into your budget.
